enlightenment? yupyup

well it has been a long while since my last post, the truth is, ive had/typed in so many rough drafts typed but just end up deleting them. i have been really busy both with work, life , looking for love, train, LEARNING among others

for the past few days or maybe week, i have been training/learning from my guru/master, i think i have learned 2 points in life, 2 points that stuck to me and made me realize a lot of things, well since i do believe that knowledge is meant to be shared thats what im about to do now

1) it doesnt matter if you do or dont believe in GOD, a God or a million Gods, what matters is you do what is morally good, not step on people , take advantage of people, use people or just plain hurt people... just be a good person with a really good heart doing what is right , that is more than enough.

2) life is meant to be lived......... some people take life for granted.. man has one destiny, its to be happy, if we notice.. anything we do no matter how small or big is aimed towards one goal, all goes in one direction, which is? our happiness!!!! it is man's destiny!! whether it comes from us.. getting good grades, buying a new pc/ipod or even a new car/house or maybe even having the person that we love, love us back it all comes down to one point, that life is not meant to pass us by but its meant to be lived with our destiny being happiness. So if we think about it we should never be unhappy, yes, life does throw us trials and obstacles and we sometimes find ourselves overwhelmed with problems just surfacing left and right but it is our destiny to rise above all those, if you wake up unhappy then you are wasting time and worse you are wasting life. WE ARE MEANT TO BE HAPPY, that is our destiny

Point #2 well taken. Since I'm going through what people have been calling my "mid-twenties crisis," your words made me realize that a person can't go wrong in life as long as his/her aim is to be happy. Tama ka diyan! www.phenomina.net

I pretty much believe #1. it doesnt matter naman talaga who you praise (but maybe its a whole different thing if you're praising zee devil) just as long as you do good stuff. whether there's hell or whatever or kung ano mang "heaven" and pinaniniwalaan ng mga tao....be good na lang din.

....still working on #2...

wow, finally after almost a month of "hybernating?", ur back without the usual heartbreak tones.
d things u learned from ur guru are interesting. it reminds me of an sms i received a long time ago, which goes: "A buddhist saying: In life, only 3 things mattered- how fully u lived, how deeply u loved, & how gracefully u let go of things not meant for u."
i suggest u read The Road Less Traveled by M.Scott Peck. it gives a fascinating perspective on life and love.

let me also share this-
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It isn't just some of us. It is everyone, and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." ---Nelson Mandela

Are you the real Luis? If so, I used to be your doctor in the school clinic. On your 2 points:

- It always matters to believe in GOD. Goodness always comes from him. So if you do good, knowingly or unknowingly, you pay homage to him.

- Man has one destiny, and it is NOT always to be happy --- but to LEARN MORE from this life and use it to help others.

That's my 2-cents.

HAPPINESS... is a stage of life. You CAN'T always dwell on happiness. Not everyone have that perpetual high. It's MEAN to let everyone believe that they are meant to be happy when in reality..not all of us have that advantage. It's a goal..sure. But you can't always guarantee you're gonna get it.

Life's not fair. Not everyone can be happy in their lives, life's lessons can be learned best with failures. It keeps the yin balanced with the yang.

Poe (edgar allan that is), Elvis.. these people were legends.. were they happy? Probably had lil quirks in their lives.. significant moments that reflect their art.. but they didn't live happy lives..that much is obvious.

As William Goldman so aptly put it (copywright: THE PRINCESS BRIDE -->best book ever) Life's not fair.. it's just fairer than death that's all.

yes you're ryt in both... but faith in god is really important coz if not i think we will never going to pass obstacles that will come over us, its like you're empty if you dont believe in something you dont see. do you believe in god? im not a religious person but i believe that everyone must have faith in god coz who you will turn to if evryone is not around?

such faith was made for us to be strong, not only faith in god and also faith in everything. In life it doesn't matter that you have to be good, what matters is you have to be happy, just like you said in #2. Not all good will do good to you. Have faith in everything that you do, go where you wanna go, glide like a wind, then you will see happiness.

i've been thinking this many many times, we're here beacause of this purpose, "TO BE HAPPY"... Do anything you want, just go and be happy. Everything around us was made for us to be happy. But one thing i dont get, we're still not happy of all these we had. where will we find true happiness? Or may be its GOD will make us happy?

destiny... others dont believe in this word because it's us who create our own path, our own future, our own destiny...

... i dont know what im writting here, but im hoping that this words will help you in thing you dont understand. this is just my point of view. sorry for the inconvince of my grammar. hehehe! :))

and about the love thing... it's possible. but then again, not all possibilities are out in the open. only a few gets to be discovered.

now i dunoe if i made sense. haha

hi! dropping by...

point 2 is well said. I think life is a treasure that we already have and yet we're still insisting to ask more than that--our own frivolity, physical cravings, etc. I think it's a matter of living your life according to the way you want it. Or, perhaps, just like Coehlo's Alchemist, we should live our life according to our own "personal legend."

We create our own destiny; we hold our OWN fate.

on the #1 thing:

i think it's a matter of FAITH in Him. It's something so impregnable to be considered among all human frailties.

know what? since your you're on it, i might as well share with you the most important things i learned in my entire life. they're found in a book called the Purpose Driven Life..i really suggest you read it. it's not just having all the things you want and doing what's right. it's deeper than that..before i read this book, i also had the same thoughts as you. as long as i don't do anything bad to others, then im cool. but no. the book really gave meaning to my life; showed me and made me realize the most important things...and the things i shouldnt be wasting my time on.
it would really help a lot in providing you with the answers you've been searching for all your life.
if there's anything i can do to help, meileeh.blogspot.com. im not offering a hand coz you're a 'someone' in d industry, but bcoz its a blessing to share my life's blessings to others. no favorites. God bless.

hmm.... point number two is really something to think about because i believe that humans exist to love. It's what gives meaning to life and make it worth living. though I am not a hopeless romantic or someone "addicted" to relationships, it's just what i believe in. Your love for your family and friends, the things you do to show that you love them and vice versa, is what gives a person a feeling of contentment and satisfaction that makes a day fully lived. If the meaning of life is merely to be happy, wouldn't it be a rather selfish reason to live? But, to each his own. Hope u don't mind me sharing my thoughts on the topic. - tippi :)

I think I know who your Guru is. I look up to him as well...wala kasing keme at pakialam sa sasabihin ng iba at talagang may sense lahat ng sabihin...diba, minsan mapapaisip ka sa mga sinasabi niya. Both points are well taken.

Question? Are you still studying? Somebody told me kasi that she used to see you at McDo (Taft--beside DLSU)...pero ngayon nde na.

i just want to comment on this:

"1) it doesnt matter if you do or dont believe in GOD, a God or a million Gods,..."

you know what, you should be ashamed of yourself! i protest to this! you SHOULD believe in God no matter what. your relationship with God and to other people should not be in any way connected and should not be defined like that. well, for me and for the people who believes in Him, being a good person is knowing God and having a good relationship with HIM. people who believes in Him has a good and pure heart. i also believe that these people who believes in Him does not in any way reflect as what you have defined as "the people who step on people, take advantage of people, use and hurt people." they respect others just like how they respect GOD. so i guess, those people that you're pointing out doesn't have a good relationship with God. Am i right?

i think you are spriritually challenged , eh? well, if you really want to learn more about your spiritual life, you can visit christian churches. you know VCF(victory christian fellowship) or CCF? well, try it. i'm telling you, you'll learn a lot from it. its worth the try :) hope i made you realize something ;) ciao

i don't wanna sound like a total "weirdo" and freak you out, but your #1 statement is like an "anti-christ" statement. even the devil believes in the one true God, but that's exactly what the devil wants us to think and believe: that we should rely on our OWN "character" and "morals" and "good works" or even our "religion," as our way to find our everlasting joy and eternal salvation, THAT WE DESERVE SPIRITUAL REWARDS BECAUSE WE ARE SINCERELY AND MORALLY GOOD. even Hitler did alot of good works during his life... even when he mass murdered the Jews, Hitler believed that he was doing it for the greater "good." everything, good or bad, that we do that is not of God, especially those that are of ourselves, is in vain. see the belief of Church of Satan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanism "It must be noted that this is not adhering to the teachings of the Church of Satan, which is strictly against child abuse, rape or any other fully harmful sadistic act, especially to children. Consensual S&M between adults is advocated on the grounds that it is a form of self-gratification."

The truth is, when you read the Bible - the Word of God, because we are all sinners, and all have fallen short, we do not deserve anything, not even the love of God... not even our own life... but because of who God is, He has given us unlimited chances (well, as long as we are alive, that is), He is able to accept and love us if only we believe: FAITH. Did you know if you break even just one commandment of God that He has laid out in the Old Testament i.e. lying (white lies included), we are to be eternally damned to hell? But because Jesus has paid ALL our sins by dying on the cross, we have been forgiven... and we can openly accept His forgiveness only by FAITH.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For it is by GRACE that we are saved, through FAITH, and this is not of yourselves - it is a gift of God; not of works, so that no man can boast." God is not like our bank account, in where the more good works we "deposit," the happier we will be, coz to begin with, wala tayong patago sa Diyos. Tayo pa nga ang may utang sa kanya, utang na kahit kelan, hinde mababayaran. Lahat ng binibigay nya sa atin ay regalo nya... hinde kabayaran sa pagiging "mabait" natin.

if you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the Lord of Lords, that He died for you on the cross so that you may be saved from eternal condemnation, believe that you have been eternally saved. i know, it sounds TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, right? but that's what God promised us in the Bible... and it is definitely a struggle to believe in something like that because our human nature will tell us, "But who am I to be loved by God if i don't do good works first? if am not "morally" right? if i haven't been a good son or daughter to my parents?" it's just plain hard to believe, which is why we need true FAITH... faith is the substance of the things unseen... and when we have our true FAITH, God will just change us from within. He will be the one to inspire us to do what is "morally good." He will be the reason why we want to do what is right, not because doing good is the "universal" standard. We will want to naturally do good things even if it may be the hardest thing to do because we love Him... just like when you love that girl whom you've described in your poems. When you have the real God in you, you will want to do "moral things" even though you know that you will never be perfect, but God sincerely knew that you tried your best for HIM and ONLY for HIM.

i encourage you to get a Bible (the NIV translation is easy to understand), if you don't have one yet, so that you may see and know for yourself the truths and the true God.
